Love and Music

George and Silva Kaufman are artists. He's a Holocaust Survivor. She's from Brazil. He likes classical music. She likes romantic tunes. Despite their age difference, George and Silva met and fell in love in South America many years ago and created beautiful works of art together.

Late in life, George developed dementia and other medical issues. Silva was heartbroken.

MJHS Hospice music therapist, Meredith Traver, helps the couple reconnect and renew their love through Frank Sinatra and other music from the American Songbook.  "It Had to be You," is one song that still makes George beam and Silva swoon.
